You wrote: "Predictably, synthetic abundance initially wins economically. There will be a span of time before we get disgusted and start demanding meaningful conscious synthesis of cognition," this, I believe, will plunge us, the many, into the deeper human question of who we really are. A question we never before, seriously, had to think through. Current systems of modernity in education, work and industry aim toward a very different direction. But like many times before, we come to think of this when either shit hits the fan, or we become maximally truth seeking curious.

“The deeper danger may be humans compressing themselves into machine-legible patterns to remain visible, relevant, and monetizable”

Yes. this. this a million times.

Wow this was both very insightful and dread inducing! I never really made the link between humans optimizing for the algorithm and the effects that would have on how AI absorbs data but it seems so obvious now that you point it out.

I appreciate that you mention that this cycle will naturally produce an even stronger desire for human expression, that stopped me from spiraling a bit haha.

Glad I found your content. It's the exact type of content that we need more of. Crazy that you don't have way more engagement!

I just started and there’s lots of noise in the field currently. The fun will begin once I share icepic in more depth and then we touch consciousness. I appreciate your engagement. I do have great numbers of hidden engagement, wondering if people are hesitant at first to engage publicly? Are you on LinkedIn? I share different angles there all cohere though.

I'm not a big LinkedIn fan unfortunately. And in regards to the engagement, you're very intelligent and aren't afraid to push back against bad arguements, so maybe that intimidates some?

I appreciate the handle.

One of the most cogent, original pieces of thought on the inherent dangers of AI extrapolation and human integration, I’ve seen to date.

Thank you for being my very first comment! And so kind.
